A visitor, in the context of a homestay, is someone who travels to a foreign country to visit and live temporarily with a host family native to that country.

Visitors may have varied levels of understanding of the language and culture of their destination. For them, homestays are wonderful, sometimes once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunities.
