The Sadamisaki Peninsula is the longest peninsula in Japan, and is the westernmost part of Ehime Prefecture and the island of Shikoku. Since the April 1, 2005, merger between Old Ikata, Seto, and Misaki, the current town of Ikata spans the entire peninsula.

Ferries connect Misaki Port at the tip of the peninsula to the island of Kyūshu to the west.
