Before you can begin using any Apple iPod, you will need to sync the device with the software program iTunes. This is the program you will use to place audio files onto the Apple iPod. To work this, regardless, you must initial add the audio files saved onto your computer to the iTunes library.

1 Open iTunes. Click the "File" option that is found on the best of iTunes.

2 Pick out "Add Folder to Library." The "Browse with Folder" window will open. Find the folder that is holds the songs you want to place onto the Apple iPod. Highlight this folder and click "Alright." The songs will be added to iTunes.

3 Plug your iPod to the computer. It will be listed underneath "Devices" on the column on the left side regarding iTunes. Click "Music" in the left iTunes column. Every album in the iTunes library will appear. Available the album that has the songs you want to put onto the Apple iPod. The songs away from that album will then be visible.

4 Choose the melody you need to set onto the Apple iPod. Drag the files you highlighted over to the iPod that remains listed below the "Devices" heading. The songs will be placed onto the device.
