The Group Emergency Reply Team (CERT) System remains a volunteer plan whose members are trained to educate people about catastrophe preparedness and reply to jeopardy that is might affect their location. CERT members get sciences in fire safety, search also rescue, group organization and disaster medical protocol. CERT teams are funded from federal grants and work closely with local government emergency-response plus/or readiness teams.
Instructions
1 Speak to your local CERT or fire department to inquire about CERT membership, education and training opportunities.
2 Attend CPR and first-aid classes to strengthen your emergency readiness ability.
3 Attend CERT conferences and ongoing education sessions to hold your skills up to date.
4 Read the Volunteer Security Play to become knowledgeable regarding your rights and liabilities.
