Ehime Prefecture

Ehime (愛媛県 Ehime-ken) is a prefecture on the island of Shikoku in Japan.

Ehime is known for producing mandarin oranges (蜜柑 mikan).

History

Prior to the Meiji Restoration in 1867, Ehime was known as Iyo Province (伊予国 Iyo no kuni).
