The Center may close at other times without notice.
Reservations
  1. Please reserve at least 3 days in advance. You will need an inkan. Reservations are not accepted by phone or mail.
  2. For reservation changes or cancellations, please request permission at least 2 days in advance.
  3. Reservations are accepted from opening (8:30 am) until 5:00 pm (noon on Saturday).
Priority of reservations
Reservations are generally accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. In the event that two reservations require the same time slot, one will be chosen by committee or by lottery.
Time limit
Reservations are limited to 5 consecutive days (10 days for the display room). Longer reservations may be allowed at the discretion of the Head Manager.
Usage Permit
When you are granted permission to use the Center, you will receive a written Permit. You must show this to the Center Office on the day of your reservation.
Usage of the Center other than as detailed in the Permit is not allowed. Further, the Permit is not transferrable.
Payment of Fees
You will be asked to pay any applicable fees when you receive your Permit.
Fees will not be refunded except in the cases detailed in the Center Rules.
Cancellation of the Usage Permit
A Permit can be cancelled or altered even after being issued, in the following circumstances:
  1. The bearer has broken a rule or regulation of the Center
  2. The bearer has broken the conditions of his or her Permit
  3. The bearer has obtained the Permit by dishonest means
  4. At the Center's discretion, when deemed necessary for the maintenance and/or operation of the Center
Prohibited Uses
Usage of the Center will not be permitted for the following:
  1. Purposes that are deemed to disturb the peace
  2. Violent or otherwise dangerous acts, or those who may be thought to perpetrate them
  3. Acts that may damage or dirty the building or its associated facilities, or those who may be thought to perpetrate them
  4. Purposes that may be thought to be detrimental to the operation and/or maintenance of the Center

Issues to keep in mind

Time
Your reservation time includes any time required for guest arrival, setup, and cleanup. Please plan ahead to make sure you finish and clean up by the time your reservation ends.
Plan ahead
To make your event go as smoothly as possible, please make any necessary plans, such as stage, lighting, and sound requirements, and present them to the appropriate staff at least 7 days in advance.
Cleanup
After using the Center, or if your event is cancelled or your Permit revoked, please make sure you return the facilities to their original state.
Compensation for damages
In the event that Center property is lost or damaged, the Permit holder will be held monetarily responsible.
Other preparations
  1. Please supply your own ushers, greeters, announcers, and cleanup crew.
  2. Please supply your own materials such as refreshments and associated items (cups, plates, utensils), writing materials, etc.
  3. In case of rain, wet umbrellas are not allowed in the center, so please supply your own plastic bags to put them in.
  4. If necessary, please contact appropriate authorities yourself (police, fire department, etc.)

Rules

These rules apply not only to reservation holders, but also to their guests.

  1. Do not let in more people than the facility's rated capacity
  2. Do not eat, drink, or smoke outside of the designated areas
  3. Do not put up posters with tape, pins, or tacks without permission
  4. Do not offer goods for sale without permission
  5. Do not use facilities other than those for which you have permission
  6. Do not dirty the facilities
  7. Do not create undue noise, commit violent acts, or disturb the peace in any other way
  8. Do not enter rooms or buildings for which you do not have permission
  9. Do not allow persons with communicable diseases or psychological disorders to enter the facilities
  10. Do not bring objects or animals that may cause harm or trouble

Fee discounts and exemptions

Exemptions
The following situations are eligible for fee exemption:
  1. When the facilities will be used for an event held either by or in conjunction with the Town or the Board of Education
  2. When the facilities will be used by Ikata nursery, elementary or middle schools, for educational purposes
  3. When the facilities will be used for an event held by a country, prefecture, or government body, that is to be educational or otherwise in the interests of the people of Ikata
  4. When the facilities will be used for an event targeted at groups whose members are Ikata nusery, elementary, or middle school students, or those below school age
  5. When the facilities will be used by Ikata social education groups for organized public educational activities
  6. Other uses that meet the above guidelines
Discounts
In the following cases, fees can be reduced by as much as 50%:
  1. When the facilities will be used for an event that has received the backing of the Town or the Board of Education
  2. Other situations where the Mayor has deemed it appropriate
